Year 0-8 Cross Country

We invite you to support our tamariki at the 2019 Year 0-8 Cross Country Races. If the weather is not suitable on Monday, postponement day is Wednesday 15 May, at the same times.
- The 9, 10, 11 and 12 year old races will run from 9am – 10.30am.

- The 5, 6, 7 and 8 year old races will run from 11 am – 12:30 pm.
- Races will start at 4 minute intervals.
- Awards assembly will be held on Friday 17th May 2019 at 11am to present placegetters with certificates
For health and safety reasons we would like all students to wear clothes appropriate to the occasion and the weather, including a hat, and a warm jersey to put on in the warm-down period. Footwear is optional, but is recommended as there are prickles or small stones on some parts of the course. The children need to have a full, named water bottle for re-hydrating after their races. These will be kept in class boxes near the finishing line.
First and second place-getters will be invited to represent our school at the Western Cluster Cross Country Races at Waitetuna on Friday 24 May. (Third and fourth place getters will be backups.)
